(TEH PBEB3 ASSOCIATION). Wellington, Otober 22. Major Sommcrytlle, Chairmau of the New Zealand liiilc Association, has drafted a programmes for tbe next meeting, which opens on Thursday, March Ist. The place where the uieetiug is to be held is not jet decided, but it appears nlmost certain the choice rests between Oatnaru and Christohurch. The prizelist amounts to £1000, including £35 given by the Government for vollej firing but no information has yet been received whether the latter will be granted, as was the case last year. The recei pts are based on 240 entries as follows.— General entries L87O ; sighting shots, L 12 0; ammunition, L 22 5; sundries, LSO; total LI2GS- He also assumes that the money for making tbe trench and targets will be subscribed locally. Tbe programme is drawn on much the same lines as last year, and suggestions regarding alterations are invited from the Council. .
