Fortuuatus is well backed for the Melbourne Cup down to 100 to 4, and Tridentate is receiving good support at 100 to 3. Sternchaser and Pounamu did toother sterling mile and a half gallop at CauU field this morning. CnnisTcnrßcn, October 5. Mr D. O'Brien's New Zealand Clip colt Viscount (Sir Gamet — Iona) dropped dead after a gallop at Kiccarton this morning.
