Bunnythorpe Notes
I [fbom oub own cosbisfokdektO $ I saw by your paper the other day that L Mr Ballantyne, the young man who was , ill so long in Feilding, had quite recovered. * E can tell you a strange thing in con- ' nection with his illness When he was ' living in Bunnythorpe, he was one evenl ing at my bouse and a lady, a resident of , Bunnythorpe, was doing a little hand I reading She looked at Mr Ballantyne'B L hand and said " You are on the point of a long illness, which will be caused by an ' accident through water, but you will > eventually regain your usual health." A - few weeks aftsrwards he met with the i accident, and, as you are aware, had a t long and dangerous illness. I will make . no comment but merely state the facts. I I suppose if a travelling palmist had told I him this, it would be considered something wonderful. ' The Band of Hope meetings at Bunny. > thorpe still keep up their hold on the i interest of the public. The one held last i week was well attended. The ladies of Bunnythorpe do not seem to be much interested .in the franchise, and they are enrolling slowly, but the fine weather will, I hope, make 4 stir, when things will go again by leaps ahd bounds.
