For the benefit of our subscribers in the Apiti District, we publish the following particulars of the loan proposals in tho No. 5 ward of the above Board's district. (I) To form 85 chains and metal 145 chains of Main Cross road, £"450 ; (_) to construct 65 chains and metal 90 chains of Ridge road, £190 ; (3) to construct 90 chains and metal 150 chains of Upper Cross road east, £440 ; (4) to construct 52 chains and metal 48 chains of Uppermost Cross road west, £102 10s ; (5) to construct and metal 30 chains of Uppermost Cross road east, £135; (6) metalling on Uppermost Cross road west, £15 ; (7) metalling on Manga-Piko-Piko road, £50 ; (8) metalling 5 chains of School road, £12 10s ; (9) completing Main road from its junction with No 3 ward to the Uppermost Cross road, £500 ; (10) to construct 8 chains of Main road north of the Uppermost Cross road, £5 ; (II) to pay first year's interest out of loan, £100' ; Total £2000. For payment of interest at 5 per cent for 26 years on the above, it is proposed to levy a special rate of one penny in the £, on tho whole of tho rateable property within the Feilding Special Settlement Block. A meeting of ratepayers to discuss the above loan proposals will be held at Mr Guy's store, Apiti, on Thursday, October sth, at noon.
