Correspondence
THE DRAINAGE QUESTION. j TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — It would, I think, be far more satisfactory to the public if " Health " and "Reason" instead of airing their scientific (?) proposals in your journal anonymously, and disputing with each other on the question as to the drainage of this town, were to come forward in their proper names and take the requisite steps for instigating (if necessary) the r , town authorities, or " magnates," as one of your correspondents calls them, to ascertain and carry out the best method of draining the town. I am afraid this letter will not be pleasing to tho amour nropre of either of your .correspondents, but I cannot help that. If I were to express an opinion on this question, I would say, (what however would scarcely be necessary) great care should be taken to prevent the riyers being polluted by any of the town sewage as " Health " (actually " Health ") proposes. I am, etc., < Saml. Goodbehere. - Feilding, September 26, 1893. ,
