Sulh--1 van shortly afterwards increased the pace, and at Walden's had a lead of two lengths ; and from this out th~ ruce was 1 virtually over. Few bets were recorded, at the start the ruling odds being 11 to 8 on Bubear. Sullivan narrowly escaped collision when shooting Hammersmith bridge, and lost quite two lengths through having to change his course.
