. *. [fbom oub own cobbesfondent.] To show the increasing trade here, Mr W. Bishop has just turned out to the orders of Messrs Richmond, Teaze, and Mudford, three new milkcarts for which great credit is due to him for good workmanship. He has also made to the order of Mr Bull, a rustic dogcart, which is an emblem of finish, lightness, and durability. The increasing trade since Mr Corpe's factory has been opened, is very noticeable. He will be supplying a long felt want, as there is none here at present, and we hope he will meet with the success he deserves. Miss E. Smith met with a serious accident a few days ago while returning home from Cainpbelltown. Her horse shied and threw Miss Smith heavily to the ground. She remained unconscious for over two hours, but is now in a fair way to recovery. The members of the Excelsior Lodge, held their weekly meeting on Thursday evening, Bro. J. Merrett, presiding. There was a large gathering, and a pleasant evening was spent. Mr Bowater, of Feilding, and Miss A. Riley, of Marton, were in attendance as visitors.
