CnHisTcnuHcn, September 24. Blizzard has been scratched for the Now Zealand Cup. The Canterbury Amateur Athletic Club held its seventh annual cross-country meeting at MacConnack Bay, Snmner Road, on Saturday afternoon. The weather was beautiful. The principal event, a three mile cross-country Steeplechase Handicap, was won by C. Rides, 100 yds, D. Gage, 150 yds, being second, and T. H. Harker, 225 yds, third. R. C. Duolop, 325 yds, was the only other competitor who finished. The race was a splendid one. Ride won by 3yds, with inches only between second and third. Time, 20min. 6 3-oth sec.
