At the Antwerp wool sales 4250,ba1es of Australian wool were offered and 2167 sold. The attendance was only medium and there was but little animation in competition. The prices realised were about 5 per cent, below London rates. September 13. A cargo of South Australian wheat was sold at 28s. The quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is two million eight hundred and thirty six thousand quarters ; for tho Continent one million one hundred and twelve thousand. Mr Bowell, who is to visit Australians the Canadian Commissioner, says Cauada is prepared to reduce the wino duties and exempt wool. She asks in return that where possible Canadian products may be exempted from taxation, or preferential duties be conceded.
