Women's Franchise
The Electoral Bill is now at the Government Printing Ollice, where the necessary corrections must be made in the type. The Premier stated yesterdny in the House that a* soon us the Bill was assented to, forms of clmm for enrolment under the extended franchise would be distributed at once throughout the colony. (PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, September 13. A deputation, consisting of Messrs W. G. Jackson and John Jack, were introduced to His Excellency the Governor this evening by Mr John Duthie, M.H.H., urging thnt should he not see lit to disallow the Electoral Bill, to reserve the measure for the Koyal assent. The deputation pointed out the petition bore 2600 signatures, all of which were obtained in Wellincton within twentyfour hours. Lord Glasgow said the subject was one of the greatest importance, and would receive his consideration.
