[FBOM OVZ OWN COBBKSPONDENT.] Stoats are spreading here fast. On Sunday last a young man saw two attacking a rabbit very ferociously, and gave bunny a merry time of it, Mr Corpe's butter factory is working now in a very satisfactory manner, and dairyists are supplying it with great energy, as can be seen by the increasing quantity of milk since the factory opened. Through the non-suppliance of water, the cream, at present, has to be taken to Makino to be churned. It is to be hoped that the artesian well, now being driven, will prove successful, which will be a great advantage to Mr Corpe. To see the milk carts at the factory of a morn* ing improves the industry of Campbelltown a great deal, and it only requires a large store, to supply dairyists with goods at Feilding or Palmerston prices, to improve the place more. Yesterday morning one of the milk carts came to grief just as the driver was approaching the factory. The horse fell down on his side on the road. The driver, who was rather surprised, followed suit and soon found himself on terra firrna. However the milk was not much spilt, and not much damage was done beyond the breaking of a shaft, which our local wheelwright will soon put right. A son of Mr Unaerricht is in a critical state with the measles. The lad, who is about 20 years of age, is thought to have caught a cold, but it is hoped that he will have a speedy recovery.
