TO-DAY'S CABLES.

The Manchester Sheffield and Lincoln Railway Company have stopped 55 and the Midland Railway Company 14 additional trains, owing to the want of coal. The profits of the Bank of Australasia amount to £60,000 with £10,000 brought forward. A dividend of 7] per cent, was declared, and £10,000 carried forward to next years account. Mr Henry Ide, who succeeds Baron Cedencrantz in Samoa, is an American, and sails for Apia in October. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile will probably divide each ordinary share into two of £10 each, and issue preference shares of £3 10s each. Baron Schroder retains his priority claim over the assets. It is proposed that holders of bills shall receive half in cash and half in first mortgage debentures. Tho present debenture-holders will not be required to accept shares. Monson is committed for trial for the murder ot Lieut. Hamborough. Another death has occurred at Hull from cholera. The Prince of Wales' yacht Britannia defeated the American yacht Navahoe in the International Yacht Race. In the race for the St Legcr Isinglass was kept back until tho straight, when his rider let him out, and he won in a canter. The Grand Lodge of England has confirmed tho decision given in June respecting tho Cambria Lodge of New South Wales, and has voted a sum of 300 guineas for the relief of those masons who were sufferers by tho Queensland floods. Washington, September 7. The officers and crews of three Brazilian warships have revolted, and it is reported that the mutinous vessels have blocked Rio Do Janiero.
