Smith, Lockwood, Kemble, Richards, Peel, Ncwham. Guun, and O'Brien. Jams, Conningham, nnd W. Giffen are uot playing. The weather is fine, aud the wicket lively. The attendance is good. The home tcsim bntted ficst, and have scored 170 runs without the loss of a wicket. Stoddart iind Jackson, the two batsmen, were unable to do anything with Turner's bowling, but they punished Giffen severely. With the score at 51. Trumble superseded Giffen, and McLcod went on nt Turner's end. Runs con« timed to come fast, and the century was hoisted as the result oi 75 minutes piny. Trott nnd Bruce wore tried without avail, and Turner and Giffen again took up the bowling.
