The annual match between tho Mauawatu and Wellington junior representatives took place at Palmerstou on Saturday, aud resulted in a win for tho visitors by 2 points to nil, the score boiug made shortly before time was called. Raiu fell during the game, which made the play rather uninteresting. The Manawatu team had the best of the game, and the forward rushes were greatly admired. The interprovincial match, Auckland v Taranaki, was played at New Plymouth on Saturday. Tho game was hard fought, and resulted in a win for Aucklaud by 4 points to 2. Hawke's Bay were defeated at Wellington on Saturday by 15 points to nil. Tho Otago nigh School dofeatod Christ's College by 10 points to 5.
