SIGNIFICANT SPEECH BY MR REDMOND. (FEB PBE3S ASSOCIATION). London, August 31. In moving the third reading of the Homo Rule Bill, Mr Gladstone said the Opposition had been pleased to regard the measure as a monstrous and hideous one and backed up their opinion with falsehoods, but he said the passage of the Bill through the House of Commons had boen a great triumph. Mr Redmond said the measure was merely provisional, and warne 1 t!ie House no partial grant of Home Rulo would be final The Govern* ment were much incensed it tho speech as they fear it will have an unsettling effect on tho electors. Mr Gladstone said it was the intention of the Government to adjourn tho House, as soon as the Supply was got through, till November 2.
