POLITICAL DEAD-LOCK. MORE LABOUR TROUBLES. [Per Press Association.] Perth, This Day. A deadlock is probable between the Assembly and the Council in consequence of the latter amending the Constitution Bill by reducing the number from 21 to 18. Brisbane, This Day. A party of 70 men put in an appearance at Nerigitco station, Cooper's Creek, and objected to " rouse-abouts " making less than 30s a week. Three men who were receiving 25s were forcibly abducted and are detained as prisoners. A force of police has been despatched to rescue them.
