PASSENGERS ROASTED TO DEATH. (MSB FBKBS ASSOCIATION). Nkw Yobk, August 28. Tho accident wad caused by an excursion train overtaking a special train as tho luttot was slowly leaving Loug Island Juuctiou. Tho apocial was outirely demolished bj the shook, the roar carriages beiug piled in a heap on top of ono an* other. Two unfortunate passengers were roasted to deuth, and many were horribly mangled. Some bodies woro completely burned, and could not be rocovered. No j Ultimatum had been given to tho driver of the excursion tram that a spocial was in front of him.
