Alterations at the Red House.
♦ Messrs Davy and Mills, of the Red House, determined to keep pace with the times, have recently carried out some extensive alterations and enlargements to their premises whereby the comfort and convenience of their numerous customers has beeu well studied. The old oliice bas been remoyed, and tbe space utilized by enlarging the show room an extra area of I*2 feet by 12 feet, and the millinery goods caa now be displayed to the best advantage. A splendid store 40 by 27 feet has been built at the back of the main shop, and a capital office 12 by 9 feet partitioned off Another noticeable feature is a covered in loading shed, which should proye of great convenience to the enterprising firm, as everything coming in or going off the premises can be kept perfectly dry. The alterations have been carried out by Mr Ralph Heald in a satisfactory manner. We congratulate Messrs Davy and Mills on their enterprise in putting up 6Uch excellent and commodious premises, as their establishment is now oue of the very best in the North Island outside Wellington, aud we trust and feel sure that.their energies will meet with well deserved success in the near future.
