Terrible Fatal Accident

(I'KK I'IIKSS ASSOCIATION.) Nkw Plymouth, August 20. A fatal accident occurred last evening. A young man named William Watt, of j Christchurcli, ascended Pantutu, Sugar Loaf Island, near the breakwater. He fell over the Zigzag, a distance of thirty feet, and was killed instantaneously, his ' ikull being smashed in. His body was found this morning by his two cousins, who were searching for him all night. Deceased was the son of Macgrcgor Walt, manager of the Christchurch Meat Company. He made the ascent alone, and it is thought his spur caught in something and tripped him and he fell over the precipice. An inquest will be held to-mor.-row.
