Messrs Abraham and Williams report : — At Awahuri on Tuesday, there was a good muster of stock forward A fair demand existed throughout, and almost everything quitted. At Palmerston, yes terday, t lie wet weather prevented many of the entries coming forward. Female cattle wero easier, but beef sold with spirit. For useful hoggets and good ewes in lamb there was an unsatisfied inquiry. At Awahuri — Springing heifers, Lo 5s to LG los; light beef heifers, L 5 ss; store steers, L 4 6s ; 2-year-olds, L 3 12s 6d. Sheep— Hoggets, 10s 9d ; culls, 6s 0d ; owes in lamb, 12s 6d to 13s ; forward wethers, 12s Bd. At Palmerston— Springing heifers, L 5 to L 0 10s ; others, Ll 15s ; f/it bullocks, L 7 7« to L 8 ; fat cows, Lo 10* ; wcaners, 38s to 3i)s ; milch cows, L 3 9s to LG. Sbeep — Hoggets, 10s 9d ; ewes in lamb, 12s 5d to 13s 4d ; cull store wethers, l)s. Mr Matthew Henry reports : — At the Maaawatu Lire Stock Auction Market, sheep wero forward in moderate numbers. Fat cattle were well competed for and most of the stock was sold at the following quotations : — Cattle— 3 to 1 year bullocks, Lo 10s ; store cows, Ll 5s to Ll 8s 6d ; dairy cows, Ll 5s to L 6 IDs ; fat cows, L 5 3s ; fat heifer?, light weights, L 5 2s. Sheep —•Hoggets, 10s lOd ; old ewes in lamb, 8s 7d. ___
