The Direct Veto Question.
(I'KK I'KESS ASSOCIATION.) llaweha, This Day. Mr N. Melville addressed an enthusiastic meeting here last night on the direct veto question. The following resolutions wore carried:—" This meeting demands the recognition of (he right of a majority to determine in every district whether or not the liquor traffic in any form shall exist there." "The meeting pledges itself to support only such candidates at the general election as will declare themselves in favor of the Direct Veto Bill without compensation."
