TPer Press Association.] London, August 13. The English wheat market is weak, without quotable change, the Continental steady, and the American inactive. The cargo of tho Leucadia, from Lyttelton, sold at about 27a. A Victorian cargo sold at 28s 6d. Tallow is unchanged. Antimony, £38 10a.
The New Zealand Loan and Men cantile Agency Company, Limited hare received the following cable under date of London, August 12 :— Frozen meats — The mutton market is dull. Canterbury mutton is worth 3jd per lb, and Welling* ton 3£d per lb. Beef — Hindquarters are worth 6j}d per lb, md forequortera 3|d per lb. The lamb market is dull. Prime New Zealand lambs me worth, per carcase, -ijd per lb. Tallow— There is a fair demand for edible beef tallow, but other descriptions are slow of sale. Fine mutton tallow is worth 29s per cwr, and good beef tallow 27s per cwt.
