Mr G. Elliott, Secretary of the Maaawatu Rugby Union, has succeeded in arranging a match with the Wellington representatives for Saturday next at i^almerston. A wire was received yesterday afternoon from the Secretary of the Wellington Union stating that a team would be sent up on Saturday morning. The proposal to present members of the New Zealand rep. team with gold medals has been adopted, and the Manawatu Union has been asked to subscribe in shilling subscriptions L6, the cost of three medals for its representatives.
