• ■» . The annual match between the reprc* sentatives of tho Manawatu and Bush Unions took place at Woodvillo on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the Mnnawatu team by 9 points to 5. In the first spell Mowlein scored a try, and Matravers converted. In the second half Cameron and Matrnvers scored tries, neither of which were converted. JNor* man scored a try for the Buah Uniou, from which a goal was registered. A match was played on Saturday at Palmerston between the Pirates and Awahuri Clubs, which resulted in a win for the former club by two trios to nil. Dunns the progress of the game, T. Eyre had the misfortune to get the bone of ouo of his legs splintered through colliding with one of the Awahuri men.
