Messrs Abraham and Williams report , — Good entries came forward to our sale at Palmerston on Thursday, August 3rd: and we had a large attendance with a better demand than we have had for some weeks past. We disposed of the bulk of the horses entered, nearly all those passed in changing hands immediately afterwards. For draught horses of good stamp a good demand was visible, and we were unable to satisfy enquiries. The Clydesdale draught stallion was passed in at 80 guineas, and is now for private sale. The following prices were realised :— Well bred hacks by Ascot and The Premier, £17 10s and £19 10s ; up. standing hacks, £8 to £12 10s ; harness horses, £7 to £12 ; light hacks and weeds, £3 10s to £6 ; draught horses, broken to harness, £19 to £26 10s; unbroken, £18-
