The wound on Thomson's side whs rijjht over the breast. lie was of opinion that there is a shot and slujj in tho wound at present about six inches from the entrance. The variation of an inch shows the shot fired would have killed Thomson. Constable Meanerian stated that whon he took prisoner to tho police station, prisoner a6ked where ho was. Witness replied that he was in the police station, charged with having shot Thompson. Prisoner said, " Thomson must have taken the revolver from me and shot himself. If they had done what I told them I would not have hurt them." Prisoner was committed for trial.
