The United Farmers' Alliance ( (Limited) report as under: — Wheat. — Owing to the dulness of tho English market, prices remain the , samo and quotations are : Prime Tuscan, velvet or pearl, 3s 6d ; Hunter's white, 3s Dd ; whole fowl wheat, 3s 3d to 3s 4d * second, 2s od ; to 2s 9d. Oats. — The market is much firmer and stocks small. Sparrowbill and long tartars, for seed, are worth 2s 7d to 2s 8d ; Duns, 2s 7d ; short feed, 2s Ocl to 2s Gd. Barley.— Cape barley, for seed, 3s ( 3d to 3s Gd ; feed do., 3s. Potatoes. — Owing to southern prices having advanced, the local market is | very firm, but it is doubtful if prices . will hold. We quote 75s to 80s for Derwents, and £4 10s to £5 for kidneys. Beans. —Hand-threshed, 3s to 3s Gd. Peas.- -Prussian blues, 3s 9tl to 4s. Rye-corn. — 3s Gd to 4s. Ryegrass.— Prices are hardening, owing to the demand in the South Island, and machine-dressed is worth 4s Gd to f>s per bushel. Chaff.— Owing to the advance in oats, oaten sheaf chaff is firmer, and at present is worth 70s to 70s (sacks extra).
