Kiwitea Mission

The quarterly meeting of the Kiwitea Mission was held on Wednesday last, there being a full attendance of office-bearers. The Rev. W. E. Birka presided. The report for the quarter was considered very satisfactory. The congregations throughout the circuit are improving, and the services are well attonded, in spite of tho vory rough weather experienced of late. Mr Morton's subscription list of Ll2 reduced tbe circuit debt by about L 6. It was reported that land for a new church was being secured at Apiti. Services are now beiDg held regularly at five centres in the district, valuable aid being rendered by tho local preachers in the circuit. A convention of Christian workers was arranged for. The Rev. W\ Keall, President of the Conference, will preach at Apiti and Birmingham next Sunday week, the 23rd, Apiti at 2.30 and Birmingham at 7 p.m. It was decided to hold the next meeting at Kiwitea, to bo followed by a social.
