-* / : N EW ZEALANDERS IN AUSTRALIA. (PER PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, July 14. The Secretary of the New Zealand Rugby Union has received a cable message to-day from the Manager of tbe : team in Australia, asking bim to send across four forwards to strengthen that division of the team, in the third match against New South Wales, which has « been definitely arranged to take place in | Sydney on Saturday, 29th inst. The request will be complied with and four men are to leave by the Wakatipu for Sydney direct on Wednesday next. Arrangements have been completed for a match between the New Zealanders and a Western district team, to be played at • Bathurst on Wednesday, 26th inst. The various unions are now being consulted in order to ascertain what men are available. The four men likely to go are Oliphant, McLean (Wellington), Watson (Wairarapa), and McKenzie (Auckland). Brisbane, This Day. The New Zealand footballers were accorded an enthusiastic welcome. Reference was made to tho noble assistance rendered to Queensland by New Zealand, during the heavy floods here.
