(PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) London, July 12. Owing to the recent failures, the Assets Company cabled to the colony on 6th May to postpone the October issue, although it was fully underwritten. The quotations for colonial shares are as follows : — National Mortgage and Agency of New Zealand, ss ; New Zealand Trust and Loan Company, L5; Otago and Southland Investment Company, 5s ; R. Campbell & Sons, L 2 15s ; Dalgety & Co., L 4 10s. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 13,468,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,608,000 quarters. Ths prospects of the British wheat crop are becoming more favourable as the harvest approaches. It is estimated, however, that the yield will be 20 per cent below the average, though the quality will bo fine. _____________
