Sale of Stud Sheep
(per press association.) ( Sydney, July 6. , At the sale of stud sheep Mr Threlkeld's Leicester ewes averaged £3 Is ; lid, and his Leicester ewe lambs averaged £3 8s 3d. Mr Menlove's > Leicester ram brought £5 15s 6d, his Leicester ewes averaged £8 18s 6d, and his Shropshire Down ewes aver£3 13s 6d. j The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Company have re- ■ oeived the following message from i their Sydney office with reference to i the sale of New Zealand long- wool sheep inaugurated by them in conjunction with Mr W. H. Graves, and held during the ram fair on the 3rd inst. : Sales closed ; following number of sheep and avorages : — On account of Tanner, 109, average £7 ; Pickering, 56, average £4 10s 9d ; Rutherford, 19, average £3 8s 3d ; Hunter, 6, average £2 17s 9d; Barugh, 3.\ average £s lie 4d ; Hall, 20, average £5 7s 8d ; Goodfellow, 12, average £4 12s 9d ; Baker, 2, average 7 guineas. The market is very firm.
