Important Land Sale
Mr J. H. Baker, Commissioner of Crown Lands, held a very important sale of lands situated in the Pohangina Township, at the Assembly Rooms, Feilding, yesterday afternoon. The attendance was yery large, buyers being present from long distances, and great interest was manifested in the proceedings. Biddings were very spirited, and competition for nearly every lot submitted was most keen. Every one of the suburban sections offered was sold at an average of LI per acre in advance of the upset figure, and town sections L 4 10s. In Block VII a £>acre section, on which the reserve was £13, fetched £67, or at the rate of £268 an acre.
