Feilding State School

«. At the breaking up of the Feilding State School yesterday, a pleasing little ceremony was performed in the shape of B presentation to Mr S. Strachan, the assistant master, who is leaving the Feilding School to take charge of the Halcombe School. The presentation was made by Mr Hill, tbe head master, who referred to the good feeling that existed between teacher and pupils, evidenced by the object of the present gathering. The presentation took tha form of a handsome Album on the fly leaf of which was inscribed the following :— "Presented to Mr Samuel Strachan, assistant master of the Feilding Public School, by the csholars of his classes, on his leaving Feilding to take the headmaatership of tbe Halcombe School. Feilding, June 16, 1893." Mr Strachan feelingly thanked the scholars for their gift and said he should always take a keen interest in tbe scholars welfare both in their school and after life.
