Messrs Abraham and Williams report : — At Colyton on Tuesday cattle were in small numbers only, fair demand, and almost all sold. The sheep yards were well filled. There was a marked improvement in the demand for all classes of sheep, resulting in every pen being cleared. We quote : —Cattle. — Springing heifers, £5 ; milch cows, £§ oa to £6 6s ; 18---months steers, 25$ 6d ; dry cows, £2 5s to £4 17s 6d. Qbeep.— Store wethers, 11s to 11s 7d; forward and fat, 13s 4d; cborn lambs, 7s 3d, 7s 7d, 7s 9d, 7s lid, and 8s 3d; 2 tooth ewes, 12s 6d: ewes mixed ages, good mouths, 10s 5d ; older, 7s to 7s 9d. Messrs Freeman E. Jackson report :— Cattle. —At Wayerley :' Messrs Hearn and Kennedy's oow made £6 ss ; heifers, £5 15s ; yearling heifers, £3 ds ; steers, £5 4s , others, £2 Ids to £3 17s 6d. At St Cows, £3 12s 6d to £i Us; steers, £3 10a; yearlings, 28s to 40s; bullocks, £4 17s 6d. Sheep. — At Waverley : Wethers, Us 9d to 13s 3d ; fat ewes, 9s 6d to 10s 7d ; breeding ewes, 7s 6d to 8a Id ; lambs, 5s 3d to 6s. Wanganui: Wethers, 11s 6d to 13s; fat ewes, 10s 3d to 10s 6d ; lambs, 5s 6d to 6s lOd ; culls, 2s lOd ; old ewes in lamb, 7s 4d.
