A VOICE FROM PEMBEBTON. TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sib, — Being a resident of Pemberton, and knowing what the district is capable of supporting, it is surprising to me that some enterprising person has not started a good general store and bakery here, long before now. Taking into consideration the vast settlement that is going on, in and around Pemberton, and the steady, flow of population to these parts, a business of this sort ought to prove a profitable undertaking to anyone willing to start. It is very inconvenient for settlers and others to have to get the bulk of their stores from' Birmingham and Feilding. There is also a splendid opportunity for a blacksmith to start* business here. 1 am, etc., RE9IDENT.
