The weather was most unfavorable on Saturday last, consequently very little progress was made iv the matches net down for decision. The Kea Kaha r Frilding match fell through owing to the late arrival of the I'almerston team, and the match has been postponed till the end ofthe season. Tbe draw Aw.ihun v Palmerston, likewise ended in a fiasco, as only six of the latter put in an appearance, and Awahuri had only to kick the ball off, and score thus winning the match. Tbe Pirates defeated the Kaiwhakas at Marton by 9 points to 6. Tries for Palraerston wore obtained by Brunton, Fallant, and Bedford. Dickie kicking a goal from Pallant's try. W. Evans was injured during the second spell, the Pirates playing only 14 men the remainder of the game. Mr Bear officiated as referee. Hunterville defeated Bulls, at Hunterville by a try to nil. In the Wanganui Senior Cup competition, the Waverley team beat Kaierau by 12 points to nil, the latter Club putting a weak team in the field.
