PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
Sir, — For the especial edification of those who do not know me, kindly correct an unworthy statement attributed to me in your report of the Presbyterian Church meeting — viz , " He would urge that the main object was the financial one." I did say that I was not sufficiently well versed in doctrine to enable me to speak with authority upon that aspect of church government, and would confine myself to what is essentially n treasurer's function — ways and means. My remarks could, as I then said, bo rendered — " Did bigots ask to syllable thy creed, Thou said'st ' Our Father,' and thy creed were told," but hardly as you havo misconstrued them. I am, etc., The Secretary.
