Messrs Freeman R. Jackson & Co. report : — At St. Hill street, Wnnganui, yesterday the yards were full of good sheep. Bidding on the whole was good, everything being sold except a line of ewes and one small pen of sheep. Pigs were keenly competed for, all sorts selling well. Cattle — Fat cows, light and medium quality, £4 to £5 ss ; springing heifers, £5 2s 6d to £6 18s 6d ; yearlings, 37s 6d to 445. Sheep— Fat wethers, up to 13s Id ; stores, 9s 9d to lls 7d ; breeding ewes, 6s 7d to 8a 3d ; others, 5s Id to 6s 7d ; lambs, 3s 9d to 6a 7d. Pig— Small baconers, 26s to 38s ,* porkers, 178 3d to 188 6d ; smaller sorts, 12s. Horses — Horses sold at current rates. Poultry.— Turkeys, 5s to 6s ; geese, 4s 6d to 5s 6d ; ducks, 3s to 4s 6d ; fowls, 2s 3d to 3s 6d the couple.
