Anent tbo letter on • Blank Cartridges ' camp notos, from '• A Wellington City Guard," the former writes " City Guardsman was no doubt correct according to his lights ; only the men he described as the advanced guard of the Manchester Rifles, belonged to the Wanganui Rifles who had been sont there by Captain Skerman. " Blank Cartridge " still maintains, therefore, that the Manchester Rifles spiflicated tho gallant guards.
