Bishop Hadfield's Successor
(PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION). VVeuongton, April 14. It is slated tit at at a private meeting of dignitaries and officials of the diocese of Wellington, to consider a successor to Bishop Hadfield in the See of Welling* ton, it was agreed to recommend the Her Mr Ingram of Church House, London. Mr Ingram has for many years past been engaged at Homo in the work of church organisation, holding no regular" cum of souls," and he is in every way reported to be evidently suitable for the high position to which it is proposed to call him. Mr Ingrain's credentials are very liighlj endorsed by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, and upon the retirement of the venerable Primate in June next, the Synod will, it is said, as a matter of form, confirm the election! and he will be ordained at Home and immediately sail for the Colony to take up his duties.
