Manawatu Rugby Football Union

A general meeting of members of the above Union was held at Mr Donnelly's rooms, in Feilding, last evening. The following representatives were present : — Messrs Bennett (Awahuri), Keeling and Bunting (Palinerstou), Seddon (Pirates), Pawson (Hunterville), Elliot (Kea Kaha), Strachan and Aitken (Feilding), aud Smith (Marton). Mr Smith was voted to the chair. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The Raukawa Club wrote asking permission to join the Union. On the motion of Mr Bunting, seconded by Mr Strachan, it was resolved, That owing to the distance which competing teams would have to travel in order to meet the Kaukawa Club, the latter be asked to withdraw their request. Resolved, That the following oonstituto the match committtee for senior matches: —Messrs J. Harrison (Marton), Strachan (Feilding), and Duncan (Palmerston). Resolved, That Messrs Lees, Harrison, and Smith be appointed a committee to revise the bye-laws, and report to the n«jxt meeting of the Union. Resolved, That Messrs Strachan, Aitken, aud Richards be appointed a sub-commit-tee to draw up a list of fixtures, and report to the next meeting. It was arranged to hold the next meeting of the Uniou at Marton on Friday, the '21st inst. The meeting then adjourned.
