" I am desired by the Colonial-Secre-tary, of Queensland, to convey to the people of Feilding and district the grateful thanks of his Government for their sympathy and help. '• D. MacKenzik, " Colonial Bank, Dimedm. " March 27, 18\)ii." Tho local subscription list, in aid of the suflerers by the Queensland floods, was closed today, when a further sum of £51 was cabled away through the Colonial Bunk ; making, with the amount already remitted, a total of £151 as tho contribution from Feilding and district. A result most gratifying to all who have taken purl in this worthy object.
