Tho natives aro absolutely without food. Appalling iloods ha ye taken place- The loss is throo millions francs and 20,000 tons of nickel ore were washed into tho sea. Many thrjlhng escapes aro recorded. The Governor has cabled to France for £'20,000 to rohoye tho iminodiato wants of the residents.
