A large portion of West Mnittand is uailcr water, and many hundreds of people have been driven from their homes. rfews from up the Hunter river shows that it has risen forty-nine feat, and is still rising. The greatest flood ever known is expected. At Arauton two brothers named R0.3---?ell and a another man named Howitt hare been drowned. Two men named Hunt and Wall hare been drowned at Daath, and a man named Kuhn and two others perished at Raymond Terrace.
