Members of the Manchester Rifles are reminded of the parade this evening. The Mayor of Palmeraton North has receired the following letter from Lieut. Col. Hume, acting Under-Secretary for Defence:— 'ln continuation of my letter of 3rd ultimo., I am directed by the honorable the Defence Minister to inform you that it has now been finally decided to hold a cavalry camp at Palmerston North at Easter, at which the following corps are expected to be preseht: Alexandra and ttingitikei Cavalry ; Wairoa, Heretaunga, Hawera, and Manawatu Mounted Ihfantry.' The competition for Lieut Kirton's and Mr McGee's medals was continued yesterday. Sorgt F.
