There will be no competition amongst the Manchester Rifles to-morrow. The return match against Bulls takes place at Feilding on Saturday. The Manchester Bifjes will parade on Thursday next at the Assembly Rooms, at 7.JJO p in. Tbe resignation of Mr J. R. Montague ns lieutenant of the Palmerston North Rifles bus been gazetted. The proposed Wellington encampment will probably be placed on the hills near Johusoiiviiie to prevent volunteers iJoeking into town at night. A very foolish reason . Mr Montague will hold a salo here on Friday nest wl)en ho will sell a largo cousigumeut of drapery.
