HAM SALE AT FEILDIXG. Tlie Farmers' Alliance held a highly satisfactory sale of rams in their Feilding yiirils yesterday, the attendance being very fjood. The following lines were tlisposed of for the undermentioned vendors : —On account of Mr T. Bryce, 31 2-tooth Lincolns sold at from 2to 4gs ; on account of Mi P. Stewart, H to 3^gs ; on account of .Mr D. Blair, 7 2-tooth Lincolns, 2 to 2Ags ; on account of Mr J. Jarvis, one 4tooth Lincoln, 2 }gs ; on account of Mr C. Phura/yn, 15 llomneys of various ages fetched from 2| to 4gs. A 6-tooth stud Lincoln, the property of Mr L. Holden, which took first prizes at the Masterton and Paluierstou Shows, topped the market, and was sold to Mr J. Saxon at Tigs. The Alliance have enquiry for good Romney rams, and could place a number at fair figures. There were about £550 head of cattle yarded, all being sold except one pen of bullocks and one of heifers. Some 5,500 sheep were yarded, over half of which changed hands. Lambs and old ewes were dull of sale, but good young sheep brought fair values. The following prices were realised : — Cattle.— Forward bullocks, £6 ; 3-yr bullocks, £5 7s (id ; 2£-yr steers, M7s 6d ; 18-mos steers, £2 17s 6d to £3 9s 6d ; yearling heifers, £2 us ; store cows, £4 6s ; cows and calves, .£4 lls ; milch cows, £4 10s to £1 ; mixed weaners, 33s to 40s. Sheep. — Store wethers, 10s 6d to lls 6d ; 2-tooth wethers, 10.s lid; shorn wether lambs, 6s ; mixed lambs, 5s ; good 4-tooth ewes, 12s 0d to 13s lOd ; old ewes, 6s to 7s ; ewes, mixed ages, 7s 9d to 9s 2d. Johnsonville, Feb. 15. Freeman It. Jackson and Co. report that fat cattle were in full demand, and sold steadily throughout at 18s the 100 lbs. Fat sheep, equal to requirements, were easier ; wethers made from lls 9d to 13s : ewes, 10s ()d to 12s 3d. Pigs were abundant, but found a limited demand only, and a considerable decline in prices followed for all sorts but baconers, for which there is an unsatisfied demand existing.
