(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, February 15. The Land and Income-tax collected to date is .—Land Tax £294,628, Income Ta\ £58,497 ; total £353,125. It is anticipated that tlie lucome Tax will amount to £69,000, the estimate made by the Commissioners of Taxes after allowing for reductions and concessions under the Land and Income Assessment Amendment Act, 1892. Chkistohukch, February 15. Twenty-three out of tho whole of the muster builders in Christchurch, who number 28, have complied with the journeymens' request for an increase of wages of one shilling per day. The other five are believed to be favorable to making the standard rate at 9s per day.
