Feilding Borough Council

A special meeting of the above Council was held at the Council Chambers yesterday evening. Present —Mr E. Goodbehere (Mayor), Crs. Thompson, Gould, Fowles, Ilaybittle, SandiJand*, Chamberlain, and Carthew. The meeting was called for the purpose of dealing with the following motions : — Proposed by Cr. Sandilands, seconded by Cr. Haybittle, That notice be given that it is the intention of the Fetlding Borough Council, at a meeting to be held on the 14th day of March, 1893, to confirm the followiug resolution, viz : " That a special rate of one penny in the £, be hereby made upon the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property within the Borough of Feilding, for the purpose of paying interest on a loan to provide one third the cost of a bridge over the Orona river at Aoningi, to be borrowed under the " Local Bodies Loan Act, 1856," and under clause 15 of the " Public Works Amendment Act, 1889," such rate to be an annually recurring one for 26 years, and payable in equal instalments on the first day of April and October in each year."- -Carried. Proposed by Cr. Sandilands, seconded by Cr. Haybittle, That notice be given that it is the intention of the Feilding Borough Council, at a meeting to be held on 14th March, 1893, to confirm the following resolution, viz : — That the Feilding Borough Council, do adopt the provisions of'- The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886." The Council then adjourned.
