- - — (PER PBKSS ASSOCIATION). New Plymouth, January 25. Information has been received from Rahotu of the drowning cf Mrs Arthur Wills, in a well at the back of the bouse. Her husband, returning from harvesting ;vt noon yesterday, missed his wife. The dinner was on the tire, but she was nowhere to be seen. Her hat near the well led him to go down, and there he found the dend body of his wife in seven feet of water. Auckland. January 25. Mr Cadman met a number of Unwera Natives at Ruatoki, a settlement near Wliakntane, and discussed the question of surveys. The Native Minister gave the Natives of the Uriwera hapus one month in which to settle the matter amongst themselves for the survey to go on. If they did not do so in a month he would at once order the survey to go on.
